Staff Interview

“I wish to develop the store into one where warmth and impressiveness are everywhere.”

  • Peng Li/Store Manager Rakuichi Fukuoka

Staff Interview

I am curious about the process in which you came to be Store Manager of Seikatsu hiroba Fukuoka Store.
Before joining the company in September 2014, I had been silently carrying out routine jobs with no knowledge of the business line concerned. Later, the area of my job duties widened to cover product management and sales, and sales management in the store upon my transfer to Okinawa Store. I had to take care of many job duties at the Okinawa Store due to limited manpower. While doing my job duties faithfully, I found myself promoted to Section Chief, and then to Team Leader at Fukuoka Store in July 2015, where I did my best to do my job duties while supporting the Manager of Fukuoka Store. Thanks to my faithfulness, I was promoted to Store Manager in February 2017.
Was there any difference in mental attitude before and after you became Store Manager?
From the perspective of running and managing the store as a whole rather than simply leading a sales corner, I feel heavily responsible in the sense of mission after I became a store manager. Though I felt a bit strange, thinking it too difficult to do my duties and even feeling uneasy at first, I think I can ensure that the store runs smoothly while making up for deficiencies with the team as a whole in the future since it is significant to do so from the perspective of the corporate history of the Fukuoka Store.

Staff Interview

What kind of duties are you ordinarily in charge?
I am conducting a variety of tasks as Store Manager. With many staff members working in the store, as many of them are frequently going out on business, manpower management comes to the fore. At the same time, we pay attention to the way products are displayed, and the way new products are suggested, based on data analysis.
What is your goal to strive for in the future?
I wish to develop the store into a sales store where all the staff members are united and has an atmosphere warmer than elsewhere around the country under a solid objective of sharing impressiveness with all involved. While I have yet to make up for my deficiencies, I will do all to build up my competence and contribute toward the overall progress of the company.
